Dear Family Tree patients and clients,

Pediatric Eyecare

When should I bring my child in for an exam? 

This is one of the most common questions I am asked as an optometrist. If your child has never been seen by an eye doctor, I recommend bringing them in for their first eye exam. A child's first eye exam can be completed between 6 and 12 months of age. Early detection is key to quickly correct any issues that may impact their learning or development.

Trying to use your medical or vision plan for eye care? Interested in reading more about our in-house membership plan? Click here and see if your plan is one we accept. If you don't see your plan, no worries, we can in some cases work within your benefits despite being out-of-network or even offer something better. We have a great selection to suit almost every style and budget. If you're looking for a monocle, sorry we don't offer those.  Just give us a call and we will be happy to help provide the information you need.
