It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our long-time optician, colleague, and friend Christina. If you have been a member of the Family Tree Eye Care family your life has been touched by Christina- you've likely talked to her on the phone to schedule an appointment, she has adjusted your glasses, or maybe even helped you pick out your favorite frame. Though she left our office last December to pursue opportunities in another field, Christina was an integral part of opening Family Tree Eye Care and helping it to grow during her 7 year tenure. We are devastated by her untimely loss and wanted to share this news because she means a great deal to us and we know she built great relationships with many of you over the years. We will miss her easy-going way and her happy creative energy. We are so grateful for the time we had with her.

Pediatric Eyecare
When should I bring my child in for an exam?
This is one of the most common questions I am asked as an optometrist. If your child has never been seen by an eye doctor, I recommend bringing them in for their first eye exam. A child's first eye exam can be completed between 6 and 12 months of age. Early detection is key to quickly correct any issues that may impact their learning or development.
